Quality, Compliance & CSR: stakeholder management at setral®

We live in a time in which companies face many demands that go beyond "business as usual". The company setral® is aware of the diverse stakeholder groups among whose intricate interplay of interests it operates: from business partners to politics and the society as a whole. The exchange with our stakeholders and the management of the various issues in our integrated QCS management system (Quality, Compliance& Corporate Social Responsibility) is a centerpiece of our company.

We see our expertise in managing quality, compliance and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) as a clear entrepreneurial opportunity. As a specialist with the self-image of the most agile producer in the specialty lubricants industry, the intensive exchange with our stakeholders is the extended continuation of our core business. The finely tuned yet flexible optimization of our relationships with our customers is equally found in economic, legal, social and especially ecological standards.

Our company has been certified according to the quality standards of the ISO 9001 for many years. Similarly, environmental management according to ISO 14001 has been practiced at setral® for over 20 years. In recent years, special environmental and health standards have been added: for example, certification according to ISO 21469, which deals with the compatibility of lubricants with accidental food contact. Correspondingly many of our products are also NSF-registered and H1-certified for accidental food contact. REACH and ECHA conformity are a matter of course, as are the usual compliance requirements.

Recently, the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and especially the importance of corporate responsibility for the environment has increased significantly. We take on corporate social responsibility e. g. in our code of conduct which guides the socially responsible behavior of the companies setral® and ECCO, its employees and its business partners (especially our suppliers). We assume responsibility for the environment with a global perspective through our status as a climate-positive company (certified by Fokus Zukunft), which not only compensates its own CO2 emissions, but also makes a positive contribution to the climate. Locally, we are active as part of the Bavarian Environmental Pact (“Umweltpakt Bayern”).
